Privacy policy

CallBackdrop is a product operated by DMS Global Consultancy Limited, a company registered in England and Wales. You can reach us at hello@callbackdrop.com. For the purposes of UK GDPR we are the data controller.

• Email address — to deliver your backdrops, send the order confirmation, and (only if you opted in) occasional product updates.
• Logo file — the image you upload to generate backdrops. Stored on Netlify Blobs so we can composite it into the final image and make it available to you for download.
• Payment information — handled entirely by Stripe (or PayPal, if you choose that option). We never see your card number. We retain the Stripe session ID, order amount, currency, and billing country for tax and accounting.
• Basic analytics — a minimal set of pageview events (page URL, referrer, rough country, device type) so we can see which pages convert. No cookies that identify you personally.
• Support correspondence — emails you send us, so we can reply.

• Contract — we need your email and logo to perform the service you paid for.
• Legitimate interests — fraud prevention, security, and understanding which of our pages work.
• Consent — marketing emails (you can withdraw consent at any time by replying "unsubscribe" or clicking the link in any email).
• Legal obligation — keeping purchase records for six years under UK tax law.

We share data only with providers who help us run the service. Each operates under a data-processing agreement.

• Netlify, Inc. — hosting, serverless functions, and object storage for logos and generated backdrops.
• Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. — payment processing.
• Replicate Inc. — AI image generation (US-based).
• Resend Inc. — transactional email delivery.
• PayPal (Europe) S.à r.l. et Cie, S.C.A. — alternative payment processing.

We do not sell your data. Ever. We do not share your logo with any party other than the ones listed above, and only for the purpose of fulfilling your order.

• Your logo upload: deleted 30 days after your order, unless you email us asking to retain it longer for re-downloads.
• Generated backdrops: kept for 90 days so you can re-download at will.
• Order and tax records: 6 years (UK statutory retention).
• Marketing subscription: until you unsubscribe.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

• Access a copy of the data we hold about you
• Ask us to correct inaccurate data
• Ask us to delete data (subject to our tax-retention duty)
• Object to processing based on legitimate interests
• Withdraw consent for marketing at any time
• Port your data to another provider
• Complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these, email hello@callbackdrop.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

Some of our processors are based in the United States. Where that's the case we rely on the UK's approved Standard Contractual Clauses and, where available, the UK Data Bridge / UK Extension to the EU–US Data Privacy Framework.

We use one essential cookie to remember your currency preference. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our analytics are cookie-less and privacy-preserving.

If we materially change how we handle your data, we'll update this page and email past customers at least 14 days before the change takes effect.
